Wow. That was a pretty amazing 6 months. I don't feel any different really, and i don't think i 'found myself' but i had an incredible time, met amazing people and am so ready to settle down now and do some work!! ;) i'm sorry i didn't post before but....
I had a lovely new years with rachel and her youth group and a massive flight home with a 15 hour wait at KL..but now...I'M BACK!! I had a fantastic time of course. Everything seems a little surreal now though, kinda feel like i haven't been away at all. This blog is to mainly say THANKYOU to everyone who emailed, wrote, and rang me. For the encouragement and contact and photos. It meant so much to know people were thinking of me and how i was doing. I missed everyone a lot and it was brilliant to arrive back home to my lovely family and friends and familiar surroundings. And if anyone from my travels is reading this, thankYOU for hosting, housing and being my friend. I felt so incredibly blessed with the people i met and the things i saw, i just might have to go back one day!!. I hope this next year will be just as full of surprises and lovely moments as the last :D So much love to all of you, God bless, Sofiexoxo

Hey guys :)
Since last time i went to Liverpool, which was Beatlelicious :D, York to visit my aunty, uncle and three cousins, which was fantactic to meet these relitives i've never known! And had a massive reunion with even more cousins and family friends. After York it was Bath time, which was really gorgeous but i only got to be there one night, i saw a play called 'Time for the Good Looking Boy', yeh, sounds weird but was really good :) After Bath i travelled to Cardiff to stay with family friends of my parents and their kids, wow, so much fun and such lovely people!!! i saw the Doctor Who exhibition in Cardiff, which is not as good as i thought if would have been but still awesome to see, and the bay and the Brecon Beacons on a lovely day, when we got out in the open on our walk though it rained, of course. it has been raining a bit more, winter is definatly on her way over....
i went and saw New Moon lol, was disapointed actually (what did you think belle?), but again, still good to see....umm...this morning i left Cardiff (*sniff*) and am now in Rugby in a hotel (because there are no hostels) it's lovely!!! i get my own tv :D i cannot belive i've only got a month to go, that's crazy. having the time of my life but still really excited about seeing everyone again.
so much love, hugs, giraffes, all good things

Hey All :) this post is just for you to see some pics but I’ll just say Ireland was awesome, the weather was great and I’ve made it back to England alive! My tour went really well and the guy I was staying with in Dublin was one of the nicest people I’ve met. So I was really blessed all round! I miss you all heaps. I’m in Liverpool at the moment – home of the Beatles lol. This is actually the first time I’ve been in a place all myself! After 4 months! It’s a great place though and I’ve met some nice people. Feeling a little crook today but going to go explore tomorrow :)love you all heaps. How’s things at home? Sofiexoxox.

Aye, my wee trip oot and aboot in bonny Scotland ;)

me and my friend holly at Loch Ness
me and the bridge used in harry potter (eat your heart out lucy!!)
a cool show, got to see original weapons and examples of clothing worn ages ago by the highlanders
LOOOCCHHH NEESSSS!!! (we did a war dance but nessie didnt come, one of us 'didnt believe' apparentaly. haha.
at YWAM, can't remember her name but she was so nice and so crazy!!
the Seamill beach, pretty gross really, lots of bottles and plates even all smashed up, beautiful water though and view of the islands in the distance.
Heyyyy...wow it's been a little while i know. but i've been horrifically busy! I’m now in Ireland after a week back in England and am going on another tour tomorrow...!
Scotland was awesome. The YWAM stay was really good, very wet though :( The people were pretty cool and all around my age and so passionate to serve God and share the Good News with people, so great. I got my own room there and food for an fraction of what I’d have to pay a day somewhere else so I was so blessed with that. After a couple of days there I (somehow) made it from YWAM base in Seamill (hour out from glascow near the sea) to Edinburgh for my “haggis’ tour. The accents were fantastic (though one of our tour guides looked and sounded like Jamie Oliver and wasn’t Scottish, none of the tour were Scottish and all the people at the YWAM base were American lol). Nearly the whole bus of 40 people were Aussies, which was lots of fun. We saw many castles, many hills, some ‘hairy coos’ (highland cows), heard some splendid live music, tasted some whisky (horrid! Everyone else was really excited though) went to a lot of pubs (!) got very wet and caught in the rain, saw waterfalls with salmon trying to make their way up stream (poor things), and brought a ‘wild and sexy Scotland’ t-shirt, coz it was wild and very sexy ;)
i really love you all, hope everything's ok and everyone's surving
can't wait to see your beautiful smiling faces soon
all my love, hugs and giraffes
sofie xoooxxooxox
ps. didn't find a man in scotland, so i'm hanging out for Ireland now!! hehe.

To England....and Beyond!!!

me and joyce :) she's so cool
the winndddmillll....hehe creepy ;)
Hello to family and friends, greetings from the UK!
I’M NOW IN....ENGLAND! It’s dead exciting and the beautiful accents and countryside and being in Blackpool (yes belle....Blackpool!! argh!) is somewhat overwhelming. I’m off to Scotland tomorrow and I’m not going to have time to answer your lovely emails till after I come back so I thought I’d write this quick blog post just to keep you up to date. So far I’ve been to Lancaster, Blackpool, the Lake District and all around Lancashire and St. Annes in Lytham which is where I’m staying with my ‘aunty’ (family friend) Joyce (she’s awesome...the coolest over 70 year old I’ve ever met). My actual uncle John also got in contact when he heard I was here so I’ve met him and two of my cousins which is just incredible coz I didn’t think I’d get to meet any of my family. But it turns out they really wanted to see me and John is really lovely. Generosity and kindness just comes so naturally to him and he’s treated me to some awesome pub lunches and showed me around the beautiful green rolling hills and countryside that surrounds the place I’m staying in. It feels very special to be in the place and see the houses where my Dad lived and grew up and where my parents came when they were here with me when I was one.
It has been incredible weather, today being another sunny blue sky day, it should be raining, but I’m certainly not complaining, hopefully it’ll hold out for Scotland. I’m really having a fantastic time, everyone speaking English is fantastic and I love watching the English telly :)
To everyone at home, I love and miss you all and really hope that life is great, if not then pop over to England and I’ll try and cheer you up :D hehe.
